Sycophants are not proud of their behavior. At heart, they know better. That's why Ann Telnaes's boss didn't like her cartoon. He was probably embarrassed. His paper, The Washington Post, canceled Telnaes's cartoon which was scheduled to run. Telnaes showed her character: she quit. Seems maybe she had too much strength of character, too much spine in her, to bow down to the political pressure.
Democracy dies in darkness. We need people like Telnaes to keep shining the light.
